These are the comments we have received when asking for
feedback.
We asked "can you let me know how helpful or not
Turkeyvilla has been, in either helping you to decide to
invest, advise given on or off the site, leading you to
agents/areas/developments etc. Or any other info relevant to
testimonials."
IDs have been withheld where requested.
As for TV – and you know I don’t mince words – I think it
unlikely that I would have bought in Turkey without TV. We
sat in the Emlak’s as the process progressed and Hayley’s
face became ashen! I agreed/haggled/refused various
proposals, handed over wods of cash to shifty looking Turks
in various back street offices and swallowed gallons of tea
and shook hands solely based on the confidence and knowledge
that I gained from TV. Without TV I may have tried to find a
UK company and paid the premium, but I am 100% sure that I
would not have purchased directly in Turkey. In other words,
no TV - no house for us in Akyaka!

Finding turkeyvilla most certainly helped us decide on
buying in turkey, and gave us invaluable advice as to which
areas to buy as we had never been to turkey before,we would
not have found the confidence to buy in a foreign land, if
not for the help both on the forum, and through personal
help from terry and john, they held our hands through what
could have been a scarey situation.

We bought our apartment before we found the Turkeyvilla
website. It's an excellent source of information for people
with holiday homes in Turkey.
Keep up the good work.

There is hardly a day that goes b when I don't log on to
Turkeyvilla.com and have found all the info invaluable.
Thank you
Christine and Andy
The site has been very informative, and I think that many
people when they have had problems, have found the help and
advice given invaluable.
So a big thank you, for having the forum, because a lot of
us have made very good friends through the forum.

We have bought in Davultar, we love being among all our
Turkish neighbours, we have been made so welcome, We had
been looking for over 2 years, but we hummed and arred, I
was constantly on the internet, and I came across
Turkeyvilla by accident, but my god am I glad I found it,
I had a million and one questions I wanted to ask and most
of them I found the answer to on the forum, I found it to be
a really friendly almost family feel to it, if you need any
information you only have to post the question and it is
answered.
I was really scared buying at first, still am sometimes, but
you know you are not on your own, there is someone out there
ready to help if they can.
It gives great advice on where to buy, who with, what
available, where to shop etc........
It gave me the confidence to go ahead with our purchase, as
you felt if everyone else seemed to be okay, why not go for
it, and our we glad we did.
We had never been to Turkey before, and within 2 days we
knew it was the place for us, we viewed on the Thursday and
had bought it on the saturday, in fact it was so easy, I
kept saying there must be a catch somewhere.
When I got home I drove my husband mad, with all the
question, he is made up I have this forum as it stoppes me
asking him all the time.
I like the way people make friends and meet up when out in
Turkey, although my daughter is horrified that I arrange to
meet someone off Turkey villa in Kusadasi, kids what do
they know.
I log on to the forum several times a day, if my boss in
work ever looks at my computer, he will think I work for
Turkeyvilla.com as that is all he will see in the spinbox.
Sandra
We didn't find Turkey Villa until after we had bought the
property but it has been a mine of information.
Unfortunately there are not too many members from Dalyan, it
does sometimes feel like a Kusadasi club. I have been
travelling to Turkey since around 1972 and obviously love
it. Long exposure has perhaps worn off some of the gilt & it
does seem that anything other than uncritical adoration of
Turkey is met by hostility by some members which is
depressing. I don’t think there is anything you can do about
that,There seems to be a lot of Psuedo adaptation around.
You have a very difficult job in setting the tone & culture
of the forum and I think you and the other moderators
succeed admirably.

TV has been a great help, we view the forum every day or two
and have done since we began the buying process. It's a
great website, the only comment I would have might be the
amount of moderator banter which can sometimes clog up a
string of useful information, so that it takes much longer
to work down to the nitty gritty!
Good luck and keep it up.

WE HAVE FOUND THE FORUM TO BE VERY USEFUL OVER THE PAST 12
MONTHS AND WE HAVE ALSO MET QUITE A FEW PEOPLE THROUGH THE
FORUM, BOTH IN THE UK AND TURKEY SUE
Have found the site to be really informative and useful
since purchasing in Turkey and will continue to browse for
anything that may be relevant or informative to the local
areas etc.
Angie
The advice and contacts made through TV have been extremely
helpful. From the site, we have found general costings on a
whole range of items which has helped in our negotiations
when purchasing goods and ensuring we got a fair deal.
Guzelcamli Car Hire has been an absolute god send - we would
never have found them other than on this site and we have
used both Christine Altinay and Sunshine Turkish Homes prior
to them being registered as TV approved which gives us a lot
of faith in the referral process used.
Brilliant!

I like the Forum very much ,it gives good advice , we are
moving to Marmaris in late Sept, and would love to meet up
with British people who already live in the area.
Kind regards, Dee/Tony
We would have no hesitation recommending anyone wishing to
buy in Turkey, that they spend time on Turkey Villa learning
from the experiences of the many forum members. Turkey Villa
has been invaluable to us in our purchase, providing us with
both information and encouragement, plus the opportunity to
meet a lot of very nice people.
We are well pleased !!

This forum has been my 'bible' for over a year now. It has
been invaulable to me, expecially as when I was going
through the house hunting and buying process stage. Even
now, I still love it, it is very useful, as whenever I have
a question, there is always a forum member ready to offer
advice.
Jane
I have found some very valuable information on the site with
regards to moving to Turkey and buying property. There is
lots of experience of moving to Turkey, problems encountered
from builders and the likes, and general information that
will come in very useful when we move over. The site members
have provided detailed information on the good and bad, from
things like removal companies, cheap flight deals, areas to
live, and peoples experiences of the estate agents (emlaks).
I have found the site welcoming and friendly, a nice
community spirit, and general helpfulness from other
members. Michelle, Scotland
We found the villa on the internet shortly prior to joining
TV and realised after joining that they were at the time TV
approved.
The forum was a godsend prior to moving and provided advice,
opinions and views on moving to Turkey.TV also offered peace
of mind in respect of lack of apparent progress on the TAPU
by the comments from others who had or were going through
similar delays
